North Carolina Gold Festival
February 26, 2004--This year the festival will include a special appearance of top Bluegrass bands in the nation. The Bluegrass Hall of Honor band of JD Crowe and the New South, the Dean Osborne Band, and the Moron Brothers are performing a Bluegrass performance in Marion on Friday night, April 23rd. We are busy lining up the event vendors and print ads that will be distributed in approximately 35,000 event program guides. Radio stations have committed ad space and public service programs on the history of gold mining in the area to help the Gold festival to become a success. The festival has the potential to be an event that will be remembered and bring people back year after year.
